Dylan loved being in the tent. He was a little grumpy all day until he spent a few hours outside in tent that was pitched in the backyard.

So Fast

It is amazing how fast these babies are growing. It seems like last week the babies were content swinging in the swing, lying in the bouncer and nursing with mommy. Well this week things have changed...

Lindsey loves swinging and being in the bouncer only if she can sit up and look out at the world. Dylan has decided he likes to be independent and hold his own bottle to be fed better than nursing.It is fun to see all the ways they grow each day.

Grateful to be a Mom

I have been thinking lately at how much my life has change from a year ago. I have been pondering about my job at Consumer Direct and how much I miss the people that I worked with (consumers and co-workers). I miss socializing with my consumers. Many of them I had great relationships with and really cared about them. I wonder how they are all doing and hope that

things are going well for them. No matter how much I miss my previous career, I am so grateful everyday that I have the job I do now, which is being the mother of my twins. I really didn't know what I was getting myself into, having twins, or being a parent for that matter. It is the most challenging thing I have ever done. But it is also the most gratifying and fulfilling experience. I feel like I have truly grown as a person and am becoming more of the person I want to be because of Dylan and Lindsey. They make me smile and laugh. I can say I am truly happy being their mom and for the opportunity I get to stay home with them. How could I ever not be happy with these two?

A fun weekend

We had a great 4th of July Weekend. We tried to enjoy the beautiful weather and went on a nice walk, had BBQ with friends and enjoyed each others company.

Getting out

We are finally healthy at our house! The past couple of weeks we have all been sick. Dylan had pnemonia, Lindsey had croup and Devin and I both had colds that have kept us cooped up in the house. So the day we all started to feel better we ventured outside.


Here we went on a nice walk around Matsu park. The babies got to experience some rough terraine in their stroller. We even had to lift them up over a couple downed trees. It was worth the work. We had a great time!

We also went up Hatcher's Pass and walked up a mile or so one of the trails there. It was nice to get out. Never get sick of exploring that area.

We also had a coupld of nice BBQ's on our new deck on the days that the sun decided to shine!

As part of his "honey-do" list Devin built a deck onto the back of our house. I am very impressed with how well it turned out! He did such a great job and worked hard to get it finished. I can't wait to have our first BBQ on it!

Fun Weekend

Devin's sister Lillie has been visiting for the past few days. We have had some wonderful weather and have tried to take advantage of it. On Sunday we took a nice walk at the Ekulutna Lake. Today we went to the Eagle River Visitor Center. It has been so fun having her here. It makes us wish she lived closer!

Grandma and Grandpa Pehrson

Dylan and Lindsey really enjoy being with their Grandma and Grandpa Pehrson. We teased that when the twins would come home they would never want to be put down because Grandma liked to spoil them by holding them whenever possible. Luckily they have transitioned well but I can tell that they do miss being spoiled like they were.

Home From a Great Vacation

We are now home in Alaska after a wonderful visit to Utah. The twins were able to meet so many different people. They were very popular and had aunts, uncles, grandparents and cousins wrapped around their fingers. Thank you to everyone for the fun times. I was looking through all my pictures when I got home and came across some really silly pictures of my sister Michele and my Mom. I thought I would share a couple. Thanks for the laughs!

Devin's sister Leslie came down to visit from Pocatello.

Here is our niece Hannah. It was fun to see Lillie and her family another one of Devin's sisters. They came to visit at my parents house and we then went to their's in Springville.

My Grandma Hartley (on the right) and her sister Roberta came from Oregon to see the twins. It was so nice to visit with them!

My Sister Michele and I hung out every second we could. It was fun to get to know little Olivia!

My Grandpa Pehrson came by to visit several times. It was so nice to see him.

We had a great visit with our longtime friends Chris, Konae and Ryker Putman.

I was able to have a nice picinic with my friend Cassie and her daughter Jenasen.
