Salem Carousel

The twins had the opportunity to take their first ride on a carousel in Salem on Memorial Day. Lindsey was not interested in getting on a horse but did find a nice wagon to sit on. Dylan hopped right on a horse and was excited to ride for about 3 minutes right up until it started. He was able to sit on the wagon with Lindsey. Luckily, they loved the wagon ride. As we were leaving Lindsey said "that was so fun Mommy" That was the goal and we succeeded :)

Rocket Launch

This past Sat we went to Willamette Park to launch Devin's rocket the Amazon that he built. Dylan absolutely loved helping Daddy getting it set up and even pushed the launch button. It was a fun family activity. We are looking forward to see all the different rockets Devin has planned to build.

Forest Lake Picnic

We found a nice campground near Sweet Home to have a picnic. We were able to have a fire and roast hot dogs and marshmallows. The campground also had a playground that the kids were able to play on. It was relaxing and enjoyable evening.

Devin's Birthday

Devin celebrated his 31st Birthday on May 14. It was a great day starting with a nice breakfast, a quiet morning with the twins and then ended the night with a wonderful dinner with the twins with a babysitter.

Picnic

Picnic weather has begun and we have had a great time exploring new places. Dylan loves to go on "adventures" as Lindsey describes them. He searches through trees, under tables, and on anything that looks like it could be climbed. Lindsey is usually right behind him, a little more hesitant but always in the action. There is nothing like be outdoors in the quiet enjoying the beauty with family.

Farm Fun

We recently went to a local farm for a tour around their property. Dylan and Lindsey were able to feed the turkeys and ducks. They were even able to touch ducklings that were about two or three weeks old. Dylan especially loved being at the farm. I will never forget the moment he went exploring off by himself a little ways from the crowd people. He found a mud puddle that had five or so white ducks sitting in it. He ran over and startled them. They all flew up and Dylan realized if he continuedto run toward them they would try to fly away. The pure joy in his face as the wind blew his hair while he ran after those poor frightened ducks was truly priceless. Every time I think of that moment I chuckle at how happy he was and how free he seemed to be.

After I got home and saw this picture I realized that he was really close to that turkey. And that turkey was really eying him.

Easter

We had a nice Easter Weekend. The twins enjoyed hunting for eggs at a local nursing home egg hunt on Saturday. Luckily some of their older friends were there to help them get some eggs. They were so excited about what was going on many of the eggs were gone before they could get one. On Sunday after the we returned home from church and twins had their afternoon nap the Easter bunny came and hid our Easter baskets.

Sweet Moments

When I see moments when Dylan and Lindsey show their sweet love for each other I can't help but smile. It's nice to know, that in fact they do love each other and in the end like having the other around. Thank goodness for these moments!

Finally Clear Weather!!!

We really have been taking advantage of every moment that the sun is out. The twins have found out how much they really enjoy being outside exploring, throwing rocks in the water and picking flowers. Love spring!! Crossing our fingers for more sunshine!
