Lindsey

Our Little Miss Lindsey has been entertaining us with all her new stories and bright ideas. She has been so much fun watching as she figures out how to talk and tell jokes and be funny. One of her hobbies right now is to fill all of her purses and backpacks full of treasures that she finds throughout the day. It's fun to look inside to see what she might have in there. Sometimes I will open a cabinet drawer or find in my shoe her sweet little treasures. Her biggest thing right now is to pretend that she is a princess or grownup. She leaves everyday to go to work with a hug or a kiss. She likes to cook in her kitchen and make breakfast. Mostly right now Lindsey loves to dress up. It will be a while since I have heard from her and will peek in her room or come out to show me her new outfits. Beautifully put together with her hats, and high heels and purses and necklaces. I never thought I would have so much fun with this little girl. She sure knows how to brighten my day.

Dylan

It has been longer than I would like since I have put a post up. My sister-in-law Lillie had such a great idea on her blog by dedicating a post to each member of their family with an update. So Thank you Lillie for the idea.

Mr. Dylan is doing very well. He is my sweet boy when he is feeling well. This winter has been rough on him with getting sick. Since December he has had two double ear infections and what seems like a never ending cough and runny nose. Things are looking up since Spring is here! (except everyone here tells me that if you move to Corvallis and don't have allergies, you'll leave Corvallis with them:) He is all boy!! He loves to be outside exploring new things. It has been raining a lot lately so he has enjoyed playing with his dinosaurs and making baskets in the basketball hoop, most recentlyhe has had a lot of fun flying Daddy's remote control helicopter. Dylan's favorite thing mostly to do is sing. He is singing when he's eating, bathing, walking around and in the car, basically our house is full of his sweet songs. His favorites to sing right now are: Wheels on the Bus, Row Row Row your Boat, Where is Thumbkin and The Farmer in the Dell, Oh and we can't forget Jesus wants me for a Sunbeam.

The Twins Turn Two!!!

The twins are now two years old. I can hardly believe that Dylan and Lindsey have been here for two full years but really can't imagine my life without them. We had a wonderful day celebrating starting our day with the all time favorite breakfast of pancakes, followed by a celebration with Grandma and Grandpa Lucas, skiing, nap, playing and then the party with cousins Maddy and Livvy and ending the day with Caterpillar cupcakes! The day was full but filled with lots of fun!!!

New Years

This picture was taken at Hardware Ranch which is a state run feeding program for elk in the winter. There is a sleigh ride we take in the middle of a field surrounded by elk. It was really fun and the twins loved it. We did this on News Years Eve with Michele and her family and Scottie and Dad.

Skiing

Over Christmas we were able to go skiing. It was so nice to be in the snow. Dylan the typical boy, loved every second outside. He really enjoyed playing in the snow. Lindsey, on the other hand, stood in one spot . We went twice once with just our family and once with my Dad. Devin went one other time to get a break from all of us. Cross Country Skiing is something Devin and I love to do and haven't been able to go yet this year so it was a great opportunity and super fun.

Christmas

We had a fantastic Christmas season with both of our families in Utah. We were able to spend a few days before Christmas with my family. We made goodies, sang songs around the piano and opened presents. On the 23rd we went down to Selina, Ut to spend Christmas day with Devin's entire family. They all figured it had been nine years since the entire family had been together for Christmas. It was so much fun. We have never seen a Christmas tree so full of presents. We are so grateful for the opportunity to visit and be with everyone (Anna we missed you terribly!) during our trip. Lindsey still asks everyday "where day go?" Thank you for the sweet memories.

Thanksgiving

Devin's sister Leslie came to visit us for Thanksgiving! It was so nice having her here and the twins loved having their Aunt around.

We were able to spend a day in Portland seeing the Japanese gardens and the Portland LDS Temple, go to Silver Falls, and take a tour of covered bridges.

Thanks Leslie for coming! We had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Silly Kids

Since it has been raining a lot, we have been spending a lot of time inside. This has really brought out Lindsey and Dylan's silly sides. Here are a few silly moments we have enjoyed:)


This picture doesn't truly capture the moment... but Lindsey got behind Dylan and they both started laughing and squishing each other. It was a fun moment and I loved seeing them playing and laughing together. Priceless.

I came out of the other room to find that Dylan had taken his shirt off and put his hat on running around the living room.

Mary's Peak Adventure

One afternoon the Twins and I decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather and go up to Mary's Peak. It was beautiful and refreshing and so worth huffing and puffing up the trail pushing the twins.
