Pehrson Family Camp out

It has been several years since I have had the opportunity to attend the annual Pehrson Family Camp out up Immigration Canyon and then a day at Bear Lake.  I have very good memories as a child going to the camp out spending time with my cousins, playing and eating some fantastic food.  All my Aunts and Uncles were there and many of my cousins, some I haven't seen for a very long time (Steven and Becky).  It was good to spend time with them and be together.  Of course we had some fun adventures which included my niece Kelsey running into a hidden post sticking out of the ground and having to make a run to the ER for several stitches   Overall it was a great time.  Even if it was the third trip to Bear Lake  for the summer.

Dylan loved floating on the air mattress. My Cousin Becky's kids Ryan and Katelynn were right there with him. It was Becky and I always playing on the mattress when were kids. We are trying to teach the next generation the hidden tricks of having a blast at Bear Lake.  

Hogle Zoo

We were able to spend the day at the zoo with Lille and Clark and their family and Devin's Aunt Vreni and her daughter.  This was the twins first experience at a zoo and they had so much fun!  In fact they still talk about it frequently and can't wait to go to the Portland Zoo.

The Arches

We spent an amazing day at Arches National Park. Our motto of the day was "we do what we can"  keeping that in mind, we were able to see some amazing scenery, have some fun moments together as a family and overall create great memories.  At two and a half the twins are becoming good hikers.  We discovered that Dylan loves to climb.  Surprising us by wanting to climb and climb and climb.  Lindsey was right there with him, maybe a little more hesitant but close behind.  One of the highlights for me was this moment.  Stopping at a lookout and just climbing together. We were able to get a great picture of the family, have a small snack and enjoy being out in this beautiful country.  We are looking forward in ten years to return as a family and hike some of the other trails.

Bear Lake Trip 2

Bear Lake has always been one of my favorite places to go in the summer. We took full advantage this summer of going as often as we could. Lillie and Clark's family and Lisa and Tia came up to Logan to visit us. They spent night and the next day we headed to Bear Lake. The weather was perfect. The water was perfect. The company was perfect!

Camping St Charles Campground

My sister Michele and her family invited us to go on a two day camping trip up St Charles Canyon by Bear Lake. We had such an unbelievable time. It was amazing with 5 kids the first night it was relaxing and very enjoyable. The second night my sister Anna and her three girls came up and spent the night. She is truly a trooper being 7 months pregnant. It too, was the perfect night and so much fun.

Angel Moroni Ceremony

We had such a special opportunity to see the Angel Moroni be put onto the Brigham City, UT Temple. Due to weather we almost missed seeing it be put on. We stuck around for awhile and were lucky enough to have such a great view.

4th of July

I was struggling with my blog today and have decided to leave it as is. Sorry for the lines in the text section. I could not figure out how they got there and how to get rid of them.

Every year in our family we look forward to the 4th of July. Some of us more so than Christmas. This year was even more important for us celebrating our freedom because of the service and sacrifice of a member of our family. We started our day with the famous Lewiston parade which we have decided is a parade hard to live up to. We then went to the little carnival they had. The twins had their first experience in a bouncy house which they absolutley loved until the end :) We then headed back to Grandma and Grandpa Pehrsons house had a swim party/BBQ. It was so much fun celebrating with family. Thank you to all the service men and women and their families for the sacrifices they give for our freedom!

This Is What Family is All About

We celebrated Scottie's 31 birthday this year. We went to Mac Park and had a nice Picnic. Grandma and Aunt Linda were able to come and enjoy the big day. Scottie seemed to have a lot of fun and I think enjoyed having all his nieces and nephews around. I love this picture of him so happy with everyone gathered around him.

Summer Fun

This summer has been an unbelievable, awesome, fun summer so far. We decided that since my sister Anna and her family had moved in with my parents for several months that we would take advantage of the opportunity and spend the summer in Utah. It has been 5 years since all the Pehrson kids have been together. There was a moment when we were all sitting in the living room all the grand kids were outside and it was quite, Mom, Dad, Scottie, Anna, Michele and I. It was a sweet and wonderful moment to be together again.

We have rented a small apartment in Logan with the bear necessities that are needed for the summer. Devin is coming in a few days. He had to finish up his classes but we are looking forward to be together again. Since we have been here it has felt like a non-stop party. We have celebrated 3 birthdays, Fathers day, had a wedding shower, a wedding, a wedding reception in just three weeks. Next week Devin is coming and my Aunt Linda with my Grandma to celebrate Scottie's birthday and the 4th of July.

We are so glad that we can be here to spend time with my family and with Devin's sisters later on this summer.
