Moving

No we're not moving, but the twins are. Lindsey especially. It has been fun seeing Lindsey figure out something new each day. She is crawling, pulling herself up and exploring! Dylan, seeing Lindsey doing all of these new things, is trying to figure it all out. He is getting close. He is up on his knees rocking back and forth, pulling himself up to his knees and is becoming more interested in playing!
Dylan pulled himself up on this bin. He was so proud of himself and pretty exhausted!

It's a fun life!

We had a fun day exploring a new toy that the twins loved! It was fun to see them get so excited over a new thing.

This picture is really the way life is at our house. One is happy the other not. The funny thing is that not more than five seconds before this picture was taken she was giggling and smiling. At least the pic of Dylan is adorable.

Leaves Are Falling All Around

We always have fun outside. This evening, the twins enjoyed playing with all the leaves. They kept their Mommy busy pulling leaves away from their mouths! Next time pictures are attempted Daddy must be present!

What a Wonderful Autum

We have had such a nice fall season. The weather has really been perfect. Slowly we are starting to see signs that winter will soon be upon us. Termination dust is prominent on the mountains and frost has been on the windshields, although part of me hesitates to think about winter coming the other part of me is excited about sharing the holidays with family in Utah and the twins first real winter. Enough said of that... We had the chance to take advantage of the sunny days by going on several walks around some of our favorite places.

What we're up to

Here are some pictures from when we went to the Alaska State Fair a couple of weeks ago. The twins enjoyed the social outing.

This is becoming an everyday picture when Devin comes home from work. The both of the babies can't get enough of their daddy.

Grandma Lucas came over and watched the twins so Devin and I could go on a little date. We had a picnic and went on a hike. It was beautiful with the trees turning colors.

The babies are very serious when it comes to brushing their teeth :) I think it might be one of the highlights of the day.

Little Lindsey is almost crawling. Everyday she gets a little bit closer. This was yesterday.

8 Months Old

I did a little photo shoot yesterday. This is what we got for their 8 month pictures.

Kenai

We went down to Kenai for the weekend. We could not have asked for better weather. We were able to enjoy a nice walk on the beach.

Soaking there feet in the sand. They both loved it. Dylan liked the sensation of his feet getting sucked into the sand.

Fun note: We drove onto the beach in our trailblazer. On our way to our fishsite, someone was having a wedding wish I could have taken a picture but it was beautiful. The tide was low, the sun was beaming the background of the arch was the beach and rocks. Could not have been a better day to have that wedding. I was worried that we were going to ruin it, but we didn't we came before and after.

Dylan and Lindsey were full of smiles in the trailer. (this was at the begining, at the end of our three day trip they were ready to come home:)

Because there isn't alot of room in the trailer, we pitched our tent for the Twins and I to relax and play in. Worked out great!

Hornet Invasion

A Huge hornet community decided to gathered on the floor of our covered trailer. We found this out by Devin getting ready to use it, walking in and seeing this extremely big hive. Needing the trailer fast, Devin ran to the store and bought some Hornet spray and began getting ready to enter the "danger zone". We sealed off any area that a hornet could enter with good old duct tape. Gotta love it! Devin was successful in gathering the hive in a bucket and taking it back into our wooded area without getting stung. Made for some fun pictures.

Blurry picture but wanted you to see the huge hive that developed in just 2 months since we used the trailer last.Devin after deciding to duct tape his face to avoid any hornets from stinging him.

Cabin Get Away

This weekend we were able to go to a Forest Service Cabin at Nancy Lake with our friends the Dunfords. It was so much fun! Between the two families we had five kids, three babies. It was an adventure for sure but well worth the work. Dylan and Lindsey absolutley loved being outdoors and at the cabin. Dylan pretty much had a smile on his face the entire time. He also slept better in the cabin than he usually does at home. I guess that is our hint that we need to go camping more. We roasted marshmallows, some fished, played games and just had fun. It is always nice to get away from the everyday life and enjoy the beautiful outdoors.

The trail to the cabin was probably less than 1/2 a mile and wide and smoothe enough for the stroller. Devin and I packed everything else on our backs.

The three babies in their corner of the bunk with all the toys. Outside we had a tent that they played in. Maraya is three weeks older than the twins. They are all pretty good friends.
